Now that The Next Cool Event is over for another year, we have some reflections on our favorite things….The mark of a professional is someone who shows their true colors when under stress and the winner in this category goes to Pat Shankle Interiors for the exhibit Modern Times, where it all began. Not only was this team’s exhibit in the Welcome Tent by far the most put together, original and beautiful of all the exhibits but when you consider that the original furnishings suppliers pulled out at the last minute, then the tent was flooded and the exhibit moved indoors…never once was there drama. The team mobilized and made decisions to make it work. These are the kind of people you want to recommend.
The next team we give the professional award to was the team with Mathews Furniture who did True Blood by Nina Nash and Joe Gallo. Beautiful space, professionally put together, organized and no drama. Effortless was the word most people used to describe this team.
The Color Purple team of steve mckenzie’s and KMH Interiors was the most original creating a signature chandelier.
Other favorites: nobody could quit talking about Nothing Bundt Cakes…to die for little cakes that are most definitely the next cool thing to serve. LOVED the carved letters created by Parallax Digital.
